From signing up to a new family member: here's what the adoption journey on mace.ba looks like, step by step.
Step 1
Sign up
Enter your name, email and password on the sign-up page, or sign in with one click using your Google account. If you sign up with email, confirm it by clicking the link we send you to unlock requests and messages.
Step 2
Choose your account type
After signing up you choose your account type. As an individual you adopt cats, and you can also post a cat looking for a home yourself. The choice is permanent, so choose carefully.
Step 3
Browse cats
On the Adopt page you search all the cats: by name, location, breed, age and traits. Save favorites by clicking the heart.
Step 4
Get to know a cat
On a cat's profile you see photos, a description, health details and who's listing it. That's also where the request and message buttons are.
Step 5
Send an adoption request
Clicking Apply opens a short form: write why you'd be the right home and describe your living situation. The caretaker gets your request right away.
Step 6
Track your requests
In Adoption applications you track the status of each request: Pending, Reserved, Adopted or Declined. When a caretaker chooses you, the request becomes Reserved and you get a notification, and you arrange the handover through messages.
Step 7
Arrange through messages
Handle all arrangements safely through messages on the platform: meeting, handover time and tips for the first days in the new home.
